Communication Devices For Your Child
Augmentative communication devices provide an alternative means for children to express their basic wants and needs when they are unable to verbally. AACs come in a variety of forms such as sign language, gestures, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), tables, computers and eye gaze systems to name a few. Speech therapists will assess each child’s needs and abilities to help determine the best AAC for that individual.
