Sydney Tymula, MA, CCC-SLP
Sydney is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in North Carolina and New York. She also holds an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence. Sydney graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders and from the University of South Dakota with a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology. She has experience providing intervention and services to individuals with various communication disorders such as speech sound disorders, feeding and swallowing difficulties, oral motor deficits, language development, and fluency disorders. She enjoys working with individuals to provide early intervention services targeting language and speech delays, functional communication, and enhancing skills through augmentative and alternative means of communication through play and child-led approaches. Before transitioning to the pediatric setting, Sydney worked as an SLP in the subacute setting providing feeding/swallowing and speech and language therapy to adult patients receiving rehabilitation services. Sydney is passionate about interprofessional collaboration and utilizing a team approach to support individuals in not only their communication skills but also their overall growth and development. Outside of work, Sydney enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, and traveling.
