Caitlin McCloud, MCD, CCC-SLP

Caitlin McCloud earned her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of South Carolina in 2005. She has been working in schools for 18 years, primarily in elementary school settings. Caitlin has experience working with children who have various communication disorders, including articulation, language delays, learning disabilities, other health impairments,
developmental delays, multiple disabilities, autism, deafness, and hard of hearing. In 2013, she attended the Summer Institute at the Children’s Cochlear Implant Center at UNC to learn the practice of Listening and Spoken Language therapy. Caitlin has 10 years of experience working with children with hearing loss and has proficiency in functional sign language. She utilizes her knowledge of the developmental acquisition of language to assist all her clients in acquiring language in a developmentally appropriate manner. Caitlin values collaborating with her clients’ families to ensure continuity and provide multiple opportunities to practice new skills. She believes that families play a crucial role as therapists in a child’s life.
