Carley Pierson, MS, CCC-SLP
Carley Pierson graduated from the University of South Florida with a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology in 2018 and Bachelor of Art in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2013. While completing her graduate degree, Carley worked as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in the public-school setting for 4- years.
Carley has experience providing intervention to a wide range of communication disorders to include autism, early intervention, language delays, apraxia, articulation, literacy, phonological awareness, functional communication, augmentative and alternative communication, specific learning disabilities, and developmental delays. She is a basic DIR/Floortime trained therapist.
Carley has a passion for providing evidence-based interventions with the importance of treating the whole child to include collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. She believes in the power of play to promote overall communication development with an emphasis on a child directed approach with an importance on relationship building. Carley is a neurodiversity clinician who believes each child is wonderful and flourishes in their own way which has shaped her therapy approach to include using DIR/floortime strategies and sensory integrating practices. She believes in providing therapy to support each and every child’s specific learning approach. Most importantly, Carley enjoys having fun in therapy in which the child is laughing and smiling!
