Lisa O’Connor, MOTR/L
Lisa is co-owner of Handprints and Footsteps Pediatric Therapy, LLC and has over 21 years of experience working with the pediatric population. She received her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Lisa has extensive experience in school, hospital, clinic and community settings. She specializes in treating children with Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Hemiparesis, Brachial Plexus injuries, fine motor and visual motor deficits.

Interests and Passion
Lisa enjoys providing community support to preschool teachers by sharing her knowledge of Handwriting Without Tears and how to incorporate the curriculum in their classrooms. She has presented to the Roots & Shoots Down Syndrome Association support group on fine motor development and the benefits that occupational therapy can bring to children with Down Syndrome. Lisa uses her creativity to make therapy ‘fun’. She is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Lisa enjoys traveling abroad and experiencing the local culture and people. Lisa loves spending time with her husband, 2 children and dog.
