Sweta Patel, MA, CCC-SLP

Sweta has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for over 18 years working in a variety of pediatric settings (inpatient therapy, outpatient therapy, home-based, schools and private practice). Over the years, she has learned to look at each child individually and provide therapy based on what will work best for that child and his/her family. She is a big advocate of caregiver education and ensuring goals and activities can be carried over to the home and other child familiar environments.

Sweta received her masters degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH and her B.A. in Communication Science from the University of Pittsburgh.

Sweta has expertise in early language development, speech disorders, apraxia, feeding, and behavior management. She has taken various courses to increase her knowledge in these areas. Some these courses are Beckman Oral Motor Therapy, Sensory Integration, Play-based therapy, Apraxia (taken the first course of PROMPT), Rib-Cage mobility and Behavioral Management.

Sweta moved to Charlotte approximately 4 years ago with her husband and children. She has an 11 year old son and 7 year old daughter. She enjoys taking walks, reading, dancing and spending time with family – they love game nights!
