Feeding and swallowing disorders develop due to many different reasons including prematurity, reflux, cleft lip or palate, decreased muscle strength/coordination in the face and mouth, and failure to thrive just to name a few. Children diagnosed with these disorders are more at risk for developmental delays in both physical and cognitive growth. Our feeding therapists have a vast knowledge and experience of working with children who have feeding disorders, food aversions, texture transitions difficulties and tube feeding dependency.
